24th
So this past weekend was without a doubt, the best weekend ever. Sheer insanity.
-Meeting up at the airport
-Arriving at the hotel
-Hanging out in Christy and Natacia’s rooms
-The odd portraits of legs and cleavage that were in all of our rooms
-Running around Universal Studios
-Getting our asses kicked by Nils in bowling
-Adam showing up to bowling
-Hanging out at AstroBurger
-MEETING AND RECORDING WITH AFI
-Dinner at RFD
-Hanging out at the tattoo parlor until closing
-Natacia and Christy getting ‘Begin Transmission’ tattoos
Crazy. Just crazy. Not only did I get to meet the band who has completely changed the way I look at the world, and not only did I get to do background vocals for their upcoming album, and not only am I now good friends with them, but I also got to meet some of the coolest fucking people in the world. After having spent just a couple of days with Natacia, Mark, Courtney, Brock and Christy, you five are practically family to me and I already miss the hell out of each one of you. I also have to send shoutouts to Alexis, Kylie, Kylie’s awesome dad, Whitney, Todd, Desiree, Davey (not Havok), Smith, and Matt, who all played huge roles in making this weekend so memorable, and who I all miss just as much. You are all truly awesome people. I will never forget any part of these past couple of days, and I can’t wait to hang out with each and every one of you again. In the meantime, I’m making damn sure I keep in contact with you folks online and through texting.
Thank you so much to Smith and Matt, everyone at Interscope Records, and most importantly, the guys in AFI for making this whole thing possible. A band having such dedication to their fans is unheard of.
I’ll be back in Cali in two months for my brother’s graduation, so hopefully Mark, Brock, and I can wreak some more havoc.
Lastly, yes, Begin Transmission is indeed very far from over. And I think you’ll all be excited about where it’s headed.
